Sometimes, it's just time...

As some of you may know, I spend a lot of time looking at how I'm creating my world.  I'm all about busting through my limiting beliefs and opening up to greater possibility in my life.  I dream big, and I also "do" big too.  It's that magical combination that really creates amazing tangible change in my life.

My biggest dream as of late is to make money doing only things I love.  Whoa!  Has that one worked me.  As I have started letting go of all the stuff that I thought of as "work" and start stepping more fully into my joyful contribution to this world...my monkey mind is going CRAZY!

Guilt has been a huge hurdle to overcome.  I feel guilty that I'm not "working hard enough".  I hear myself saying, "I didn't get anything done today."  I think, "Where did my day go?  I just had fun all day and didn't get any work done."  In the mean time, if I actually look at what I've accomplished in the last few months it's astonishing.  If you hear similar voices, I encourage you to say, "That's nice...let's look at the real story here."  Then acknowledge yourself for all that you have accomplished in the last week, month, or year.

It's been a difficult letting go process but I'm allowing my new self to unfold.  So although I have dreams to "GO BIG", I am taking baby step, by baby step to move my dreams forward for sustainable change.  Just today I booked my first art opening for November 4th at The Windmill Cafe (One of my favorite spots in Santa Cruz, mark your calendar!)  I have been collaging for 6 years, and I'm so excited to honor all of my creations of the last several years.

Come make a collage of your own this Saturday, July 30th from 2-5:30pm, $20.  The theme this month is FREEDOM ... YES!

Do anything, just move!

It's summer and now is the time for movement.  When you're in a funk, feeling sludgy, or uninspired...moving is a great antidote.  Even if you don't want to, do it!  Go for a walk, take a run, get on your bike, stretch your arms, put your leg up over a rail and reach, heck go DANCING.
If you're in Santa Cruz here are 3 fun weekly dance events I love, and where you don't need to "know how to dance":  Sunday morning Dance Church, Tuesday evening Contact Improv, and Thursday evening Inner Rhythm!
Check out this story on All Things Considered:  This is yet another reason to move!  "If you sleep more, eat less and get plenty of exercise — using your body and your brain — says Richard Restak, you can improve your intelligence over the years and help stave off the dementia that comes with old age."
You may also feel "moved" to create your life more meaningfully through my Collage for Manifestation workshop...happening next on July 30th, 2-5:30pm at The Chi Center.  This month's theme:  Feeling Freedom!  How do you create freedom in your life?
