Sometimes keeping your business plan and all it's elements to yourself or just to those special confidants is the best thing you can do for yourself.  The world is full of critics and people ready to shoot down your idea because they don't see the money potential, they don't see the possibility, they don't see your ambition.

In my experience, it can be very disheartening to hear all the discouragement coming from friends and family.  Some people's rebels are energized by the discouragement and they want to prove everyone wrong.  That's great for those people, but I am more sensitive.  I need full encouragement, I need fellow excitement, I need to keep my ideas to myself until they are developed enough that I have the full confidence that they are going to GO.

And that's what it all comes down to.  Confidence.  How do we "fake it 'till we make it" when faking it just doesn't work anymore.  I am vulnerable, I am sensitive, I am so awake and aware of my own process that it just can't be ignored or faked anymore.

From my experience, I encourage my clients to keep their big ideas to themselves or their most trusted confidants until there's enough momentum to sustain the idea.
